Nice to meet ya! I’m Lauren. An environmentalist and video producer living here in Santa Monica. Born and raised in LA, I’ve always loved the beach + ocean. It wasn’t until March, 2018 when the current administration announced their plans for offshore drilling, that I became an active environmentalist because I felt obligated to protect what I’ve always loved. I say this because you don’t have to have a degree in environmental science, or have been raised a certain way to be sustainable. It’s never too late ⏰

So, why RE?

Well, simply put, RE shows up in both my first and last name - Lau(re)n Fer(re)e. It’s also a powerful prefix in the sustainability language. Think about it… Refuse, reduce, reuse, responsibility, renewable, regenerate. The list goes on! Some may call this a coincidence, I like to think it as a calling 😉

As I navigate this journey of environmentalism and sustainability, I am learning so much. But, the most important thing I have learned, is that sustainability is EVERYONE’S responsibility. Including me, including you.

So, my goal here

Is to help you realize that what you do matters, and you are WAY more powerful than you think. Yes, it is horrifying to watch the news and see images of wildfires and record-breaking temperatures and millions of species going extinct. But you have a choice.

So take that awareness and buckle up, because you are going to change the world as you create powerful habits, influence and inspire others in your community, and speak up to the decision makers.
