Over the past 6 months, I collected the plastic packaging from the items that I previously used, hoping that in inspires you to make these sustainable swaps in your life too!

Aluminum deodorant packaged in plastic. A few studies in recent years have theorized that aluminum-based antiperspirants may increase the risk for breast cancer.
Landfill destined plastic razor. The EPA estimates that 2 billion razors are thrown away each year.
Pressed bronzer packaged in plastic. Most likely tested on animals.
Fluoride toothpaste packaged in plastic tube. Each year about 1.5 Billion toothpaste tubes end up in US landfills.
Chemical-based face cleanser (check to see which brands are NOT cruelty free here).
One billion plastic toothbrushes are sent to the landfill every year, that’s 50 million pounds. See the full impact of plastic here.

Plastic floss packaged in small plastic casing.

Mascara and other makeup packaged in plastic and potentially tested on animals.
Aerosol spray dry shampoo. Aerosol’s contain hydrocarbons and/or compressed gases notorious for their contribution to global warming.
Any hair products packaged in single-use plastic spray bottle.
Tinted moisturizer packaged in single-use plastic tube.
